The client
The client is the Brazil operation of one of the world's largest ATM manufacturers — a benchmark player in a global market concentrated among a handful of vendors. From Brazil, it serves banks and self-service networks in one of Latin America's largest banking markets.
For a manufacturer, Brazil combines scale with high expectations: the country's banks processed more than 208 billion transactions in 2024, and while ATM usage is declining year over year, their customers still need machines that are available, secure and increasingly intelligent.
The challenge
A manufacturer doesn't just sell equipment — it stands behind it for years. That means sustaining repair across a broad module portfolio while continuing to innovate. The client was looking for a partner that could:
- Repair entire equipment families to manufacturer standards.
- Contribute to development of new technologies, not just maintenance.
- Protect intellectual property under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Cover general-purpose electronics such as boards and notebooks, alongside ATM-specific modules.
Scope
Repair
Equipment families
Cash recyclers and dispensers, peripherals, power supplies, electronic locks, boards and notebooks.
Co-development
New technology under NDA
Joint technology development, protected by confidentiality agreements with the manufacturer.
The solution
Redsis's Technical Services Division works with the manufacturer on two complementary fronts. The first is repair: we diagnose, fix and test components from its core equipment families and return them to service at the quality level the manufacturer requires.
The second is co-development. Redsis partners with the manufacturer under confidentiality agreements covering the joint development of new technologies. That relationship lets what we learn on the repair bench — how equipment fails in the field, which components wear first — feed into the design of what comes next.
Equipment families we repair
- Cash recyclers and dispensers — the cash-handling modules.
- ATM peripherals.
- Power supplies.
- Electronic locks for safes and modules.
- Boards and notebooks.
